Dental Insurance, Financing
Your dental insurance is an agreement between your employer and the insurance company. We are a 3rd party provider that, accepts our contract with each insurance company but, in no way, is obligated to file your claims. We do, however, feel it is our responsibility to help our patients file the forms necessary to make your treatment as easy as possible to afford. We therefore will file all claims, follow-up to insurance companies and do all we can to get payment for your claims. However, it is imperative for our patients to know that, ultimately, the fee we charge is the responsibility of the patient and not your insurance company.
All payment for work must be agreed upon prior to your appointment being scheduled. Normal office policy will call for a 50% deposit of the patient's portion of the balance prior to work commencing.
We offer 3rd party financing, discounts for senior citizens, pre-payment in full, and other special reasons on a case by case basis. These discounts will only be honored if the balance of the patient is paid in full prior to work commencing.
We also offer 3rd financing through Care Credit which offers a low interest credit that may be extended up to 60 months. There is also a 12 month, interest free option through Care Credit. This must be set up prior to work commencing.
Broken and Cancelled Appointments
Your appointments are scheduled for you and no one else. We do not double book our patients, as a rule, we seat our patients at their scheduled appointment time. Any broken, no show or cancelled appointments within 24 hours of the scheduled time, presents a gap in our schedule that cannot be filled. This is a situation that not only presents a problem with our efficiency but causes our overhead to increase, which is passed on to the patients through higher fees. PLEASE give us plenty of notice if you are unable to keep an appointment for your scheduled time with the doctor or hygienist. If you are not able to keep an appointment and do not give us the appropriate time in advance, we will be forced to charge your account $35. This is something we terribly regret but is something we feel strongly about.
